Just a quick test drive Google Font on my WordPress platform. I was thinking to embed the code on my blog yesterday but when I received a tweet from Smashing Magazine (@smashingmag) today, it seem the hard work has been taken away by Jeff Sebring. Awesome!

The future of the fonts don’t seem to be limited by OS preinstalled font any more. The web would be some how renew with typeface that really cool and free.

Since it’s Google who started it and you bet you would get some type name that start with Android. I guess soon you would find other familiar name too. iPhone_name?

I enjoy playing with the fonts  and plugins. Since Google Font Directory (Web Font) is still in Beta stage and so were the Plugins in the early stage I guess we can expect some surprises and awesomeness in the very near future.

The web is just becoming cool again :)

WordPress 2.6

When WordPress 2.5 was launched I waited more than a month before I upgrade, very lazy :) now that 2.6 is out I am still lazy. Version 2.5 was too much of hassle and since 2.6 is almost identical to 2.5, I guess the upgrade should be not much of problem. I am happy with 2.5 though the upgrade was painful (to me) too much work. I saw someone on my twitter say “wait for 2.6.1” seriously, why?

Thanks to the developers for bringing a fantastic and kick ass works! Thumb up!

While we are on this WordPress topic, since WordPress 2.5 fully support Globally Recognized Avatars or “Gravatar” in short please sign up for an Gravatar account and start load your avatar! It’s would be cool to see your avatar appear beside your comments :)

WordPress Pretty Permalinks

One thing I love about WordPress, if you have time and if you dig around you just might learn something and have fun with it.

Thank you Silvy, without your help on the mod_rewrite I don’t think I will get Pretty Permalinks working.

Permalinks are the permanent URLs to your individual weblog posts, as well as categories and other lists of weblog postings. A permalink is what another weblogger will use to refer to your article (or section), or how you might send a link to your story in an e-mail message. Especially when they are used to link to individual postings, once a story is posted, the URL to it should be permanent, and never change — hence permalink. ~ WordPress.org More

WordpressWelcome to my blog! If you happen to hit keywords on the search engine to know how to install your WordPress, I recommend you to read the README files from the installation. However I don’t mine to answer any question you might have. Hopefully I’ll be helpful to you ehem! *Smile*

Finally, I’ve upgraded to WP 2.3.1! I really admire the developers and I’ll continue using WP – until something better replaces WP, obviously. There are few other developers but right now WP is still 100% kickass! More
