This resort should be the best resort in Kuching! Damai Puri is the new name for Damai Lagoon, and the resort going through the major renovation last year and suppose to open to public in Q3 2007 but was delay and I remember I have to postpone my room booking and eventually I decided to cancel it.
They have had change management and I guess this change gives this resort a thumb up! I make a visit on Saturday and I was impressed how gorgeous this resort has been. Traveler/ tourist and the local who stay over Damai Puri would appreciate the sea view, natures, forest, and the local culture by visiting Cultural Village which just about 10 minutes drive. Please ask for assistant from the resort help desk, daily free coach should be available.
The Lobby
Over looking the beach & Sea from the Lobby Area
The funny fact about Damai Puri you should know is that, just few steps away from your right (from the lobby view), the beach is called Permai Rainforest Resort. Permai Rainforest Resort provides rooms up on the trees! I should try it next time, the feeling should be good!
Forest View
This children’s swimming pool is just simply gorgeous!
The Design
So what do you think of Damai Puri? Mark your calendar for your next vacation, you should choose Damai Puri as a choice of getaway!
Okay here a bummer, I didn’t stay at Damai Puri on Saturday. I was just passing by to check out the newly renovate resort. I am in fact staying at Santubong Kuching Resort and doing our BBQ at Permai Rainforest Resort’s beach.
I took this very beautiful plant from a nearby salt water stream/swamp. This plant can be found along the swampy and wet area in Sarawak. The native (Iban or Malay) settler would use it as a rope or you can dry it and make handicraft. I use to fish crab when I was young, and water this clear, cross your finger, you would catch a good and big king crab! I grew up along the muddy bank of salt water river and it really fun back than. I don’t think I would be able to show you or take you to experience the life of a house nearby a small river. I need a boat to do that there were fruits that you never eat before and can only be found along salt water river and there were way of life how to live by low and high tide.
After a tiring BBQ, what could be more fun than to drink a glass or two of vodka? I must admit orange mixed with Vodka is call screwdriver is my first! *ROFL* what a strange name for a drink. This team gathering was fun, we never had a successful over night gathering before and this is the first. I hope this gathering brings us closer to our objective in life & work.
It’s been a long time since my last posted video! Hopefully I’ll be able to embed a video of Damai Puri Resort & Spa by this week in this post. Too tired to do the video for now! Before I leave, pick your favorite legs
Good night and have a nice day my friend! (Another long week days)
P/s: I thought I saw Chicken wings! Speedy might like to join me

As promised, here’s the video
Video featured “boulevard more shops open” I think by now many of you have visited Boulevard Kuching? Especially if you live in Kuching you had already started your weekend routine between Boulevard and tHe Spring. With the 2 giant malls, life in Kuching has change tremendously! No more the “boring” mood from yesteryear where families and friends use to experience the bird chipping in the morning and get annoy by the neighbor’s dog barking in the afternoon. Life was just so plain back than! I can still smell the coffee, the few adorable big branches tree that given the comfort of shade and windy afternoon where the communities play their favorite pass time game, Chinese chess!
