Show Me Some Love

My school mate ask me 2 days ago if I still play my guitar…

I guess you need to know one thing, about me and my music. I love guitar and my biggest influence was Kurt Cobain. I am into grunge & alternative music. My favorite band include Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, Garbage, and many more…

I self taught how to play and I remember I play an old out of tune guitar as if it was real piece of music. I would play and play till my fingers bleed, till I get so tired and my guitar would sleep right beside me. (the other way round) Actually it’s not my guitar, I just borrowing it but I treat it like it’s mine.

My friend Richard came to my house one day, tune the guitar for me and that’s the very first time I know how to tune a guitar.

The first song I learn to play was Smell Like Teen Spirit. I was still catching up with the guitar chords but already I try to play the song in one piece. Maybe I was born to do it, I didn’t feel it was hard and in fact every time I failed I would just keep trying until I know how to play the songs.

Holding a guitar in bar chord can be so hard than again I felt that it was actually the easiest and you won’t forgot the chord ever.

My heart, wanted to be a musician was so strong! it’s feels like you’re on drugs strong! If I was properly train by a qualified teacher I am confidence I am at least in a showbiz today. I sounds very unrealistic right? most of my friend think so but at that age I am pretty focus in what I want.

I did not pursue that dream after finishing my study. My work in turn taking over my dream soon I was more focus on my work than pursuing my dream which kind of… Wishful thinking.

Fast forward, it’s been more than 15 years since I left school.

Anyway, after the question pop up about playing guitar, I decided to give my guitar a check on Saturday night. I give my guitar the love and I was dreaming away again… than I wrote a simple song in 2 hours…

I hope you will enjoy it, let me present you “Show Me Some Love” drum rolling… *LOL*

Why didn’t he know where he was heading? :) he should have been to KL but it’s kinda funny that his record company sending him to Borneo for promotion.

By the way, if you are from Kuching may I know how would you feel when Show Luo actually forgotten our capital city name “Kuching” and can only remember Sabah? He seem to likes the foods in Sabah too :)

Sorry Kuchingite, we don’t seem to have impressed this guy enough! Hahahaha

Here’s one and only video featuring Show Luo exiting airport at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, and now I’m releasing it to the world and all Chow Luo fans out there :)

This video was shot by my girl friend, Jun and let’s check it out! (if you’re wondering… Of course I ask her to shot lah… other wise she would be so panic and excited just to see this handsome dude pass before her eyes LOL)

I hope you love this video as much as I do in making it and please do tell your friends ;)

Do you know that in Kuchingites try to catch this dude early in the morning and getting passes and stuff like that just to get his autograph?

I am lucky :) I guess it’s fated that I don’t have to do anything just to catch him. LOL

According to Steph in his blog, with this song he hopes to bring people together.

When me, Jordin Sparks and B Scott were marching with those drums I imagined us being on the frontline in a war and it was my way of saying that it doesn’t matter if you are man, women, gay or straight… We should all be able to come together and fight for a certain cause no matter who you are.. And once we truly figure that out then that’s when we grow as a people ~ Steph Jones
