MBO Kuching the first Digital 3D Cineplex in east Malaysia
Stop flying to Berjaya Times Square! 3D movies experience is right here, in the heart of capital city of Sarawak, Kuching. Maybe I am over exaggerated; IMAX may still rule the 3D world. MBO spend a good deal of money forcibly, maybe? I heard that The Spring management is tough to please when making sure their mall stay high class. MBO did a great job spending that money and bringing us the one and only Digital 3D Cineplex experience in Kuching! I love movies! I love high-tech cinemas! Watching a full length 3D is just so awesome!
G-FORCE 3D, RM20
I pay for G-FORCE DISNEY DIGITAL 3D @ ticketing kiosk, awesome! Absolutely convenience! MBO charged RM19/ticket for member and RM20/ticket for non member. Though the price is almost equal to GSC Gold Class ticket and or 8 bowls of Laksa Sarawak/ Kolok Mee, it’s still better than Starbuck coffees.
G-FORCE 3D
You will be given 3D glasses prior entering the Cineplex and you have to return em’ when you done using. Still keeping Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Tour 3-D glasses? Want to give it a try? This is a NO THX hall, real bummer! MBO did not equip the best silver screen to their entire 8 Cineplex. Hall 5 is uniquely large and better screen. Spaces are cozy right down to between the legs and should not distract love birds and movie goers enjoying the sharp and realistic cinematic experience. I don’t think many of you would care but I just mention it anyhow, Hall 3, 5 thumb up. Hall 6, 7 thumb down! I am yet to visit the remaining 4 halls. Check out these 3D images from hall 5 screen. Awesome! There were few 3D movies trailer shown, Avatar, Cloudy with a chance of Meat Balls (what a weird and wonderful long movie title!) and etc… Awesome!

I am upmost particular with sound system when watching movie. MBO provide a satisfactory sounds system, I said satisfactory because Dolby Digital System has become a norm although DTS and SDDS setup world really kick some ass for a change! I had a great time with the 3D cinematic experience, really awesome! Avatar would be my next wish list.

MBO has all the advantage over it competitor, been the first operator to bring 3D cinematic and the convenience of ticketing kiosk to Kuching should put MBO on top list.
Personally I do not think they will last before someone else taking over. I mention this because, having all the best equipment and best location doesn’t make you the best. Not always…
MBO Cineplex, Lobby.
Two important things, service and cleanliness, time will tell MBO would be just another unpleasant odor from lobby to toilet, filthy carpet with dusty hall or the true champion, the best Kuching can get!
