R A D I O H E A D In Rainbows

“Creep” was, and in fact, the most played single and most jam single in studio in my time in 1993. I was still in secondary school and there I was with my band play no other songs but Creep *LOL* we were just bunch of wannabe but it was fun :) really, really fun!

Radiohead In Rainbows CD cover

“the band has ditch EMI, I am wondering why this copy was imported by EMI into Malaysia”

In Rainbows was Radiohead 7th album but I have only their second album and this the 7th album. Although I’m a fan, it’s seemed I don’t listen to their entire list of albums release. That’s probably after school I was too concentrate on my work and while I was still at school I don’t have money to buy any music at all. That’s explain I only listen to their hits from radio or TV.

Radiohead In Rainbows CD

This is new Radiohead album which supposes to be the free download since October 2007 but the band decided to make it onto plastic starting Jan 2008! Although the band has ditch EMI, I am wondering why this copy was imported by EMI into Malaysia. It cost me USD16.89. The suggested retail however, was USD13.98.

Radiohead In Rainbows

Was this XL’s idea or what? I thought the CD package was kinda cool. Fans definitely can have some good time making their own CD cover from stickers provided (or not *giggling*). These days I really like to think of it as cutting down cost, cost effective and global warming! It’s good in a way! No plastic casing means less plastics production mean less carbon dioxide releases to the air.

The band did very well for this album. The digital download was a big step. I haven’t heard of any other band offer full album download for 3 month and continue doing very well after the full album was release on CDs. The album also getting good review and publicity and some believe Radiohead is making new fans while putting the band on track after their long break (Radiohead last album was in 2003 with the release, Hail to the Thief)

DEAD AIR SPACE

Check out their album on iTunes or DEAD AIR SPACE for real creative contest!

“To celebrate this week’s single release (we still have those in England) Radiohead have broken up the song ‘Nude’ into pieces for you to remix. – DEAD AIR SPACE”

Basically you can download N U D E’s stems and remix your own version and start promoting your remix from your own website/blog or social networking sites.

I guess I won’t be joining the contest, however I do like to show you how the CD looks likes on XL label. Very creative indeed and I love the concept, only thing I regret, I should have got it from Amazon.com for cheaper price.

After listening to it for few times, in my opinion, it’s a great album, lot of surprises but I’m afraid I didn’t find all the tunes to my liking. My personal favorites so far are Nude, All I need and Reckoner. Great come back, I love Thom Yorke voice and being alternative fans I am happy that this guys still making alternative music. Rock on, R A D I O H E A D!
