OpenID

Sound good isn’t it? Auto log in without going through the hassle registering! Give my site a test with your current OpenID less than 5 second you are a registered member to my blog :P

OpenID eliminates the need for multiple usernames across different websites, simplifying your online experience. ~ OpenID.net

It did just that! With one single account you get to roam the world like a real life passport! Looking at the list, the OpenID corporate Board members now has Google, IBM, Mirosoft, Verisign & Yahoo! Convincing enough for you to join the bandwagon yet?

Join

I registered mine, pretty simple really. Since I am not familiar with claimID, myID, myOpenID, myvidoop and uses Verisign Labs instead. I feel comfortable with old and reliable one. However you may have already got one!

WP-login pageJust use the ID you have created to log on to any website that support OpenID, example my blog *smile* If you really want to get into, say more cool with your OpenID, I suppose you could use some reading and understanding from Sam Ruby.
I think on a security wise, the good thing is spammer have yet to use OpenID to spam your blog. It’s pretty safe turning off your manual approval for now. Anyway, there are good reason why OpenID was supported by big player which means it was more secure and of cause big pile of money & investment should come in handy for the developer. Envy this people :)

    Silvy,
I think this is the next big thing for identity theft. VeriSign and other is just the provider, the only thing that make them happy would be the users personal details I guess. :) these details is good enough for their future investment :)

there are some other OpenID providers but verisign, but verisign being the largest signature provider in the world seems to be more solid than those less known
