NetstersBlog.Com
Good day, every one, woohoooooo!
I have change my blog domain from http://netster.flexichat.net to http://NetstersBlog.Com I have another domain, http://Kuching.Name any one of you from Kuching interested to buy let me know. I won’t sale cheap though
Since I’m on this topic, I just want to “story” a little bit of my nick “Netster” since quite a few people ask me about it. My real name is not “Netster” I’ve got this nick in the late 90’s when the era of IRC was still taking control of the world. Thanks to the university student for making an IRC a real time – a time waster. Now the social networkings are slowly crawling toward new “time wasting” sensation – Facebook!
How “Netster” was born? “Net” stand for internet for short and “Ster” in Answers.com define as
suff.
- One that is associated with, participates in, makes, or does:
- One that is: youngster.
That’s how I derive my nick. I love internet and I normally spend 12 – 15 hours a day on the internet and do nothing but chatting and running IRC servers.
Am I original? The answer is YES! You see, during my time the word “Netster” was not even born on the internet arena. My nick creates quite an impression to my fellow IRC friends and they think it’s co ol too! Hahahah thanks pal. (Wherever you are *smile*)
In the early years of Y2K some of my naughty IRC administrator and IRC users has registered my nick Netster.com and Netster.Net and point the domain back to my IRC server Borneo.* and they offer me the domains but I didn’t dare to take it since they bought the domain using a stolen credit card. Umm like I said, naughty!
I find out later on – after the domain netster.com has expired it was actually acquire by some one else and they actually runs a web portal and seem doing well with the domain. “Netster” became public and making headlines when it was spotted as a spyware (netster.dll) and affected a full list of system example Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP.
Today, Netster.com is dead and the spyware was dead I presume.
So that’s the story with my nick. I hope you do find interesting
(well, in person I’m very interesting too
)
I still have some of my fellows IRC friends photos (below) – how beautiful, cute and charming they are. Hoo Ray! If you have seen “Silvy” commented on my blogs, she is my long time super lady, IRC friend and my skillful Linux system administrator. Hug Hug Silvy! Another long time IRC pal of mine is Routers. Today we remains best friend and would still call each other by phone and talk for hours!
