The Golden Compass

The Golden Compass

The Golden Compass

I have this heavy temptation for sci-fi & Fantasy movie genre. I couldn’t resist for any cartoon or CG movies either. If possible, I want to own it all in a DVD (or ermm maybe I should say HD-DVD/Blue Ray DVD). Sci-fi & Fantasy makes me wanna fly just like Peter Pan. Yes, I do not want to grow old much like Peter Pan.

There was one other thing that makes me go crazy over “The Golden Compass”, Nicole Kidman! I really, really love her! (Not like the love over Seinfeld) I just simply adore her! Hahahaha (Not that there’s anything wrong with that)
On a serious note, she’s amazing actress and I actually ask my dad to name my younger’s sister “Nicole”

The teaser trailer has seen the logo of New Line Cinema and than you saw the “Ring” is tossing down the screen and you think it’s a Trilogy or maybe “The Hobbit” is here! “Ermmm…” you’re wrong about “The Hobbit” but you are not wrong about the “Trilogy”! Just to note, “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” will be releasing soon as well! What a great Christmas!

Do you believe in Adam and Eve?

Do you actually believe that you have a soul in real life? In a form that does not change it shape? But what if your soul can change it shape? Like turning into animal! Would any one risk their life to protect their “soul” and would any one risk their life to cut their “soul” off because it wasn’t necessary to be part of their life so there’s no sin? In order to have your question answered you need “The Alethiometer” the truth measurer.

This is my soul “eamm…” no it’s my Daemon, she is called “Calista” you may comment my Daemon here.

There was a believe by scientist in real life that if you can bend time and space you can travel at the speed of light of 670, 000, 000 miles per hour! What if cutting away ones “soul” open a door to another world? “The Golden Compass” opens your mind to a new world and the story telling is just fascinating! Very original! So,
What’s so cool and so coincident about “The Golden Compass” to “LOTR/ James Bond”?

  • Gandalf is now become Polar bear call “Lorek Byrnison”
  • Saruman is now become “First High Councilor”
  • The two Polar Bear in the movie is by two actors start with the name “Ian”
  • The James Bond’s hot guy is now call “Lord” and the hot babe now can fly! Ooh Hot!

Funny! right? hehehehe

Dakota

Dakota Blue

I must admit Dakota Blue Richards does bring the innocence looks, vivacious, disobedient and super adventurous to movie. Nicole Kidman on the other hand really brings the scary inner self! I really hate her Golden Monkey! Nicole simply stunning in the movie, sexy! Eva Green is just getting hotter and hotter. She does look like Julia Robert as a “Tinker Bell” in “Hook” but Julia Robert is better! Way better…

What was the curse with Christopher Lee? He was showing his face less than a minute in this movie. In LOTR, he does the same short appearance.

Nevertheless, “The Golden Compass” is truly amazing movie! Oh, Do you want to chat with Lyra? Chat with her this coming Wednesday December 19 at 6:30pm ET.

Good news for Malaysian, Visit All malaysian Bloggers Project (AMBP) to join “The Golden Compass Contest” and win win win! Happy trying!

Want a stuffed polar bear? AMBP give me my bear!

    HI NETSTER!!!

I’m home after work listening to some music while the wife is out. I saw your comment, so I headed over to see what you are up to. This sounds like an interesting movie. I have not heard much about it until I read your post. In the USA, there is a controversy about the religious aspects of the film.
I think that we do indeed have souls, and that what and who we are really does mean so much. Be the best you can be, that’s all. Nobody can be perfect.… I’m not! I do make an attempt to have a positive influence.
The last good movie a saw was the Die Hard III sequel. It was corny, but I’m a sucker for action and special effects.

Hope everything is well with you my friend. Call me in case of fire (laughing)

    Hey Buddy!

fire fire! Who do ya gonna call? Speedcat Hollydale!

You know what, I agreed with you. Nobody can be perfect and that we just need to be the best we can be hopefully with positive influence. I like what you have said. I hope every one who is reading the comments will agree with it and if you are having trouble with relationship, low self esteem and etc… always move forward and learn to let go things that block your vision and plans. Truth hurt but it will be okay, give it a time. (I’m not perfect too it’s hurt when some one ignore you)

I’m not so sure about the religious controversy about this movie until you mention it. “Really?” anyway, religious and races issues are the top controversy that happening around the world. I for one, only hope for the best the world can get after all we ain’t going to live forever and we need to enjoy each and every moment so long we still have air in our lung.

I hope you well too my friend. Enjoy your weekend :)

    Cheers
