One in a billion: Tee Hui Yi, Miraculous Girl and a Survival

Joey Tee Hui YiI was at Kenyalang shop today and just glance through a news paper headline says successful surgery! well it does bring my eyes focus closer to an adult female hugging and kissing a female doctor but didn’t move me to decide to pick up the news paper. As soon as I got home feeling lazy and all… I decided to visit some blog to update myself and that’s when I came across some one write about Joey Tee Hui Yi.

While I was enjoying my life little did I realize some one else like little girl Joey Tee is suffering, struggling with life, prayers over prayers from the family, friend and from all the stranger who come to knew her and I felt so sad and guilty that I was all in the dark. Busy with life?

Surviving on a mechanical device that only last for 2 years and only average 1 heart donor in every 6 month, one year had passed without any success heart transplant. It’s a miracle for Joey Tee to received 2 hearts in 2 days yesterday! She went through operation for 10 and the half hour only to found the 1st heart was rejecting her after 3 hours of operation on Wednesday and she went through another 6 and the half hour for the 2nd transplant on Friday and this time doctor are happy to report she is stable! (how you have 2 hearts for the worse moment coming at the right time is just unspeakable!)

Joey Tee’s case is one in a billion! Not many people would survive waiting for heart while going through 17 hours of surgery! Imagine you are plucking in and out of a battery from your cell phone only thing different Joey Tee is a human and you can’t just do that. She is a total miracle and I do not think any one would have the best way to describe this incredible, amazing, sad, heart stopping moment of the life of Joey Tee.

I need to learn to open my eyes, makes do with the time given to me… knowing it’s not my “decide” when my time come? I need to love my life before it’s too late…

I wish you well Joey Tee, get well soon! You are brave! I admire your courage and so do all the people in the world!

I sincerely would like to thanks to all the doctors and nurses who had the sleepless night, the worrisome and the determination to save a little girl! The doctors and nurses have shown the true Malaysian spirit and you will be love and I am sure the country will remember you always!

To the donors and their families and Yayasan Jantung Malaysia(YJM), no words or gratitude can express your grace and your selflessness! You are brave heart!
