Damai Golf & Country Club

I was with few friends over Damai Golf & Country Club last week. Damai is not new to us but yet we were a tourist-a-like amaze by the scenery! (No I don’t play golf hehehe but Speedcathollydale loveeee golf and chicken! Check him out)

Guess what happen? We were so hungry *LOL* about 5 minutes drive out there were this very cute small restaurant.

Sarawak (in Borneo) peoples love chicken! As usual any food stall or restaurants has chicken! Chicken Rice, Fried Chicken Rice, Sweet Sour Chicken, Roasted Chicken, normal White Chicken (steam chicken! Oh yah) and etc… but this small restaurant has only Chicken Chop! (Okay, Very funny)

As soon as the Chicken Chop were served. We all stuns and stare at the chicken! What on earth happen to this poor chicken in many pieces? What the hell?

Here’s a fact! all chicken serving in Malaysia are not in small pieces even though we call the dishes as “Chicken Chop” (we don’t mean it *LOL*) even the new KFC Chicken Chop are not in small chop pieces! It’s a big chop pieces! This is Malaysian way of serving Chicken Chop!

Curious we ask the owner why the chicken were in the small pieces?
She said that a tourist taught her a “chicken chop” mean chop in small pieces!

Right…! (We feeling disbelieve of her attitude)

I can’t imagine because of some tourist advice her how to learn proper English end up degrading the experience of an exotic chicken to the future tourist. We may change toward technology but as a true Malaysian; we should not change our culture especially when you are serving foods to our beloved tourist!

Tourist pays thousand to experience our culture; they want to know how great our food and myth in our cooking!

I am very disappointed with that lady boss! Anyway, for all the beloved tourists please do come to town. More food awaits you!
