Let Love in ~ Artist: Goo Goo Dolls

Any one who live the 90’s listening to Oasis, Gin Blossom, 3rd Eyes Blind and few others bands would very much remember the song “Name” from Goo Goo Dolls. I personally don’t buy their album as we all know most band are good at their singles rather than the whole album itself. Kinda true for this band… I have never heard of their 80’s work, only knew about them when their single “name” was frequently played on the radio. Soon another single “Iris” was also their big success.

This band starts their music career playing very laud music and as they grew they understand more of what the public at large love them most. So I guess “Let Love In” is seriously dedicated to all who love a soft, energy, love, alternative/punk music. Not so much of punk though. This album has two hits, “Stay with you” as their first single and of course by now most of you would have known that “Let love in” was the second hits. Receiving a much air play in Malaysian radio station and my friend told me, she heard it over the air… I mean as in the airplane! This album has 11 fantastic songs. If you enjoy alternative, soft rock songs you won’t regret this album! So go get them! I would like to dedicate “Without You Here” from this album to you! Thanks for reading.

***I Love imported CDs, unfortunately I can’t find one for this album. The model on the album is not the best model I have ever seen! I wonder why Goo Goo Dolls choose to have this model, I didn’t feel any connection between the girl, album and the songs***

A Posteriori ~ Artist: Enigma

I was always a big fans of Enigma. The very first time I saw the album artwork of Enigma on MCMXC a.D. in 1990 I thought it was like a Christianity chanting songs and this is a religious cassette and not the normal none Christian dude should be listen to. On the second thought, it was like a rock band! You can’t blame me for getting it wrong. You see, I grow up with crazy thrash, grunge, metal music… anything with the skull, skeleton is consider dark and more likely to sound Metallica, Megadeth, black Sabbath etc… I was surprise it was nothing like I imagine after I listen to it for the first time and I grew to love it, like it day by day.

Anyway, this guy just release a new album… at the time of this writing, I’ve already repeated the CD for 4 times. So far, to tell you the truth I haven’t found one track that will stick in my head. The new album was Michael Cretu new project. I found it a bit hard to enjoy compare to the first album to the third album.

I shall try to enjoy this New Age music; normally you do need to listen to it for few times before you even realize you are getting it.

Enigma will release 1 album in every 3 years, long live the music project!
